Position Details

• Location: 
  • Mount Gambier, some travel to Port MacDonnell & Millicent may be required
• Shifts currently available:
  • 9.00am - 3.00pm weekdays
  • Possible weekend and after school hours support
  • Shift duration vary, based on customers’ needs and funding
• Key responsibilities: 
  • Community access and transport
  • Social supports
  • Personal care
  • Domestic duties 
  • Assisting customers with meal planning, preparation and cooking

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support, or similar qualification (desirable) 
• Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling certificates
• NDIS Worker Check and South Australian Working with Children Check
• NDIS Online Modules

Desirable additional training and/or experience in (further training will be provided):

• Behaviours of Concern, utilising intervention and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation
• Medication Administration
• Complex Care needs
• Previous experience working with children
• Previous experience with palliative care 

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance, and willing to transport customers for community participation 
• Evidence of the right to work within Australia
• Customers are requesting female support workers
